Inferno Tower Basic Information

There’s a reason why players all over the world have been entering “coc how to destroy inferno tower” and “clash of clans inferno tower overpowered “ into their search engines since its introduction. As one of the most intimidating defensive structures in the game, an Inferno Tower’s damage output makes it capable of destroying even the strongest of units in seconds– Golem’s Dragons, you name it.

(In-Game Description)

“Set the Inferno Tower’s Dark Elixir fueled flame to build up unbelievable damage to single targets, or to constantly roast multiple targets at once. Healing effects get blocked by its extreme heat!”

Like the X-Bow, it is unique for two specific reasons. The first being that it can be set to two different modes: single target and multi target. While in Single target mode, an Inferno Tower can decimate even Heroes like your Archer Queen and Barbarian King. This is because the jet of flame causes more and more damage the longer it is being shot at a target. In multi target mode, this structure can inflict a constant amount of damage on five targets at the same time.

The Inferno Tower is also only one of two defensive structures that require a resource to function, in this case being Dark Elixir. If a tower is not reloaded and runs out of this precious resource, it will not damage any units and be completely useless. Note that the fiery beam from this building is hot enough to render a targeted unit from being healed by a Healer or Healing Spell.

Inferno Tower Defense Strategy

A good defensive Inferno Tower strategy when it is set to single target mode is to make sure it is near a Wizard Tower or in the range of a Mortar. This way it doesn’t get destroyed easily by a large group of units. When it comes to Inferno Tower vs Golem, P.E.K.K.A., or even Heroes, a tower set in this mode will usually make short work of even these powerful enemies.

An Inferno Tower set to multi target is perfect for eliminating large groups of weak ground troops and even Hog Riders, but doesn’t do good against stronger foes. For this reason you should pair it up with plenty of other defensive structures like Archer Towers and Cannons that can help chip away at the invading crowd from afair.

Last but not least, avoid placing two of these together. Although Inferno Tower upgrade costs and build times are costly, you will eventually have more than one if you keep playing. Putting two together will make them an easy target for a single Freeze spell.

Inferno Tower Offensive Strategy

Like most players do the first time they get annihilated by this powerful structure, you’re probably asking yourself the following: how to attack Inferno Towers without getting my entire army roasted? When in single target mode the most obvious Inferno Tower weakness is its inability to attack more than one unit, so use large groups to overwhelm it if possible.

As for Inferno Towers set to multi target, use strong troops like your Heroes, Golems, or P.E.K.K.A. to close in and destroy the tower as fast as possible. It is possible to tell what mode a tower is set to by looking at its top: flames coming out of one large hole means it is in single target mode while a multi target tower will have fire coming through three small holes.

Lightning Spells are also capable of destroying an Inferno Tower but you’ll need a few of them. An Inferno Tower at level 1 alone requires four Lightning Spells at level 4 or more to be taken out completely. Also, spotting unloaded Inferno Towers is easy as they are clearly unlit and only have a black stone.
